Q: CAN I WALK ON MY CARPET AFETR IT HAS BEEN CLEANED?
(With only a 9% residue moisture, yes you can. But if your carpet has a pile then it's best left as long as possible so to completely dry.)
Q: HOW DO YOU CLEAN MY CARPETS? DO YOU STEAM CLEAN THEM?
We use a hot water extraction machine. A common misconception is that this method uses steam. We do not use steam. Hot water extraction is the safest and most effective method, particularly with delicate pile.
Q: HOW LONG DOES PROFESSIONAL CARPET CLEANING TAKE?
Each individual job is different. It is difficult to quantify time. However, as a mark, a typical three bedroom property would take approximately 3-4 hours.
Q: HOW OFTEN SHOULD I HAVE MY CARPETS CLEANED?
This would depend on how well the carpets have been maintained. How many people, animals residing in the home etc. I would estimate for example; a busy house with pets and young children could require a professional clean once or twice a year. A quiet house with only two people who hoover a couple of times a week and always take their shoes off, every eighteen months to two years.
Q: SHOULD I HAVE MY FURNITURE PROFESSIONALLY CLEANED?
Whilst many people are good at maintaining their carpets, upholstery can often get forgotten. Here are three reason why you should...
- Research suggests we spend on average 27 hours a week watching television equivalent 3.8 hours a day. It's a relatively safe assumption, most of this time is spent reclined on the sofa, surrounded by whatever bacteria has accumulated there. Potentially harmful bacteria can collect all through your home and can survive for very long periods of time in upholstery. It's very popular in our busy lives to have your dinner on you lap whilst getting up to date on the soaps' increasing the risk of food and drink spillages both on your furniture and your floor - perfect breeding ground for bacteria that could potentially make you quite ill.
- If bacteria, dirt, mould are allowed to accumulate within furniture, it can have smelly results. Pets, food and drink spillages and smoking are the highest causes of stale nasty odours. A professional deep clean is the only way to remove such odours leaving a clean, fresh smell.
- It can be quite common to confuse dirty with damaged, especially when it comes to furniture.
People can mistakenly believe it's time for change, when actually it's time for a professional clean. Even furniture that been through the mill can come up 'good as new'.
